“My kingdom is not of this world,” said Jesus. “If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would fight, so that I wouldn’t be handed over to the Jews. But as it is,[d] my kingdom is not from here.” John 18:36

What is true peace, and where can we find it when life feels uncertain? In John 14, Jesus reassures His disciples, offering comfort, direction, and the promise of His Spirit to guide them when He’s no longer physically present. As He tells them He is the only way to the Father, we’re reminded of the exclusive, yet inclusive, invitation Jesus gives to everyone to come to God through Him. In this chapter, we explore pivotal moments that point to Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and His deep love for humanity. We begin with Mary's powerful act of worship as she anoints Jesus, move through His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and end with Jesus predicting His own death and explaining the necessity of sacrifice. Each of these moments reveals more of God’s character, showing His love, humility, and plan for redemption.
