John 11. Day 216 - The New Testament in a Year
John 11. Day 216 - The New Testament in a Year
Jesus Delays. Jesus Wept. Jesus Raises Lazarus.
"After he said this, he shouted with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out bound hand and foot with linen strips and with his face wrapped in a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unwrap him and let him go.” - John 11: 43-44
In this episode of "The New Testament in a Year," we journey through John Chapter 11, where Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead. As we explore this powerful miracle, we’ll see how God’s timing often differs from ours, but is always filled with purpose. We’ll also uncover the deep compassion of Jesus, who weeps with those who mourn, and the extraordinary authority He holds over life and death.
Together, we’ll reflect on how these truths impact our daily walk with Christ. We’ll discuss how trusting in God’s perfect timing shapes our faith, how Jesus shares in our sorrow, and how His power over death gives us hope and freedom in this life. Join us as we dig into these life-giving lessons and prepare for the upcoming tension in John 12.
